IGNITE Events

IGNITE is a free 15-week industry specific training programme for 10 selected 15-18 year olds to learn about the events and music industry.

Participants are guided by industry mentors and further upskill at seminars, workshops and hands-on experience opportunities. Participants will put the experience and skills learnt to produce a music-based event at the end of the programme under guidance of their mentors and the IGNITE team.  All participants will reflect on their journey and learnings and present these to complete the programme. One deserving participant will be awarded the IGNITE Scholarship to study Diploma in Music and Event Management at MAINZ.

We are crowdfunding so that the young aspiring event managers understand that all projects need a source of funding and to be proactive about making it happen. The money raised will go towards paying for the event related costs such as venue hire, production, marketing, artist fees, etc for around 5 events run by IGNITE participants.

You will be helping to create more ALL AGES events in Auckland, provide performance opportunities for musicians and help empower the next generation of event managers!

Each event will need to present a plan and budget to access the IGNITE Event Fund. All IGNITE Events will be music-based all ages (or under 18) events in Auckland - run for young people, by young people, creating truly authentic youth events.

So please dig deep and give generously as every dollar will help us, help them put on better and bigger events!
