I Will Jones

If you could be anyone in the world, who would you be?

To 12 year old Eamonn, the answer is obvious: Will Jones, the coolest kid in intermediate.

I, Will Jones is a show written and performed by Eamonn Marra and directed by Adam Goodall about about toxic masculinity, and bullying and body image, but also about important things like blink-182 and Animorphs.

The show debuted at BATS Theatre in Wellington in September, 2016, and now we are taking it to Basement Theatre in Auckland from 7-11 August.

The money raised from this Boosted campaign will go towards paying our lighting designer, set and costume designer, sound designer and Auckland producer for all their hard work.

Any additional money raised will go towards the cost of trasporting our set and costume to Auckland and for accommodation while we are there.

Eamonn Marra is a writer and comedian from Wellington. His previous shows have included Dignity (NZ New Zealand Comedy Festival 2018), Respite (Basement Theatre 2015) and Man on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (NZ New Zealand Comedy Festival 2014), and he has performed on TV3's AotearoHA: Rising Stars. He has a Masters degree in Creative Writing from the New Zealand Institute of Modern Letters, and his writing has been published in Sport, Turbine, Mimicry and on RNZ. 

Adam Goodall is a Wellington-based writer and theatre-maker. As a founding member of the Wellington theatre company Making Friends Collective, Adam has directed several shows at BATS and around the city, including last year's Stand Up Love, 2016's KNIFED, and Proficiency Test, which was nominated for Most Innovative Production and won the Golden Nugget for Promising Concept at the 2015 New Zealand Fringe Awards. Adam is also the Theatre Editor - Wellington for the New Zealand arts and culture site The Pantograph Punch. He has been nominated for several playwriting awards - most recently shortlisted for the 2017 ADAM Play Award for his unpublished play The Go-Between.
