We've reached 72% on our third day!

And for a sneak peak from rehearsals, check out one of our Cinderella Kids cast... looking sharp in their costumes! Did you know we have 3 different casts, so all children get a chance to experience the stage in a meaningful way?

You did it.... We reached our goal in less than a week!!!

"My background is in musical therapy, so I always believed in Musical Stars and the fantastic things that happen with children and theatre, but I wasn't aware how much this meant for others. I am blown away by everybody's generosity and open heart. Thank you!!!"

We have a dream of sharing this magic with kids who might otherwise not experience live theatre. Now we'd like to extend an offer to kids from local Wellington low decile schools to experience our show, at no cost to them.

Another $5,000 will pay for 900 kids to attend Seussical Jr live show. This stretch goal will cover the venue and staging/lighting costs as well as koha towards bus transport.

A special thank you to those who've supported in the last 24 hours, helping us reach our $10k goal - Ainsley & Mark, Jude, Simon, Barbie & Steve, Paul, Chrissie, Claire, Ale & Lor and April.

We've taken the audacious step to stretch, so we can extend an offer to kids from low decile school to attend our show for free. We'd so appreciate your help in sharing this!

And from the rehearsal room, it truly takes a community to create the Musical Stars shows. Introducing Shirley, known as the Backstage Fairy Godmother, who for years has helped with the stunning costumes. Straight from rehearsal, Talita stops by Shirley's porch with all the Cinderella costumes that need adjustments. Like a sewing drive-through!

We’re in the theatre (so happy to be here) - you have all helped make this possible! 

Only 2 days to go until our performances of Seussical Jr and Cinderella Kids.

While we’ve been fabulously creative in rehearsals these last few weeks, some angels (that’s you!) have been quietly helping us with our goal to put on an extra show for kids who otherwise are unlikely to experience theatre. Today's special thank you to Jennifer, Anita, David, Leah, Fan, Tanya and Delaney.

Our local schools are so keen and with a special rate from the venue, Tuesday’s extra show is on. 

Know anyone in Wellington with little (or big) kids - help us spread the word as tickets are available here.
