Hellzapoppin'!

The exhibition Hellzapoppin’! The Art of Flying Nun will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of Flying Nun records, bringing together original artwork and design, film, record covers, posters and photography from some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s favourite bands.

WE'RE HOSTING A PARTY

The opening party for this exhibition is going to be the art and music gig of the year, anywhere. Imagine a select line up of five Flying Nun bands, descending on Ōtautahi... making this an unforgettable night of music, banter, dancing, food, drink, art and more!

AND IT'S GOT TO BE FREE FOR EVERYONE

We want this to be big, loud, on till late, and it’s got to just go off! We can make it happen, but we need your support.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT ON TWO SIMPLE COUNTS

1. We want to get the best bands that we can, bands that appeal to young and more seasoned music lovers alike, that showcase the best of Flying Nun's journey and that make this a night to remember.
2. We want anyone and everyone interested in music to be able to come to this gig, so we have to keep it free. No exceptions. This will be a free entry gig for the city, but we still need to cover the costs to make it happen... which is where you come in.
