HAUSDOWN 2
Inconceivable Productions | Multi Discipline
Overview
As a company, we have a core focus on queer joy, making theatre to share this joy with our community and beyond. In 2024 & 2025 HAUSDOWN will be serving you two exciting new projects:
In our second collaboration with the film production company BucketHutt, we will be producing a sketch inspired by British daytime television starring our HAUSDOWN cast and characters. BucketHutt specialises in supporting emerging comedy projects by providing access to equipment and film expertise. These will be presented across social media platforms and youtube for all to enjoy.
Inconceivable Productions also plans to remount their farcical regency comedy HAUSDOWN, a celebration of queer and neurodivergent personalities through a joy-based production model. HAUSDOWN is a 60-minute joyful comedic reclamation of beloved regency stories aimed to bring representation and entertainment for the emerging queer generation, and established fanbase.
Show bio: Siblings and hosts, Lord Edwin Hausdown and Lady Louisa Hausdown, have this year invited several of their most beloved, amusing, (and eligible) companions to take the COUNTRY AIR! On the guestlist are their cousins, Lord Edward Lapthorn and Captain August Lapthorn, the Duke and Dukess of C**tcliffe; Louisa’s childhood friend Lady Beatrice Swoonsworth, Baroness of Delusiomont, whose many engagements usually keep her from attending; and finally the untitled, but nonetheless well-connected, Miss Harriet and Miss Susan Girthshire. This party finds itself in a comedy of bemuddled hearts.
Why We Need Your Financial Support
This funding will be used to help pay our artists a fair share on both of these projects, as well as support our production costs.
We believe our cast and crew deserve fair compensation for their incredible mahi. Across our projects, we want to transport our audiences - this means we have some ambitious plans for our props, set and costume.
Sourcing funding as an emerging company is difficult in the current climate, any donation big or small would be hugely appreciated by this emerging group of young artists.
