Hairy Maclary & Friends Tauranga Waterfront Sculpture Project
Creative Tauranga | Visual Art
Overview
Sculptures of Hairy Maclary, Scarface Claw, Slinky Malinki, Hercules Morse, Muffin McLay, Bottomley Potts, Schnitzel von Krumm, Bitzer Maloney and Zachary Quack are all ready to be installed on Tauranga's redeveloped waterfront.
Fundraising for this unique project has been undertaken over the last two years and thanks to the assistance of many, we are nearly there! With $430,000 having been raised so far - we have seen NZ step up and generously contribute to this public art installation.
We need a little more so that we can bring these precious pooches home for you to enjoy. Our goal is to have these bronze beauties installed by Easter this year.
Your donation is gratefully received and will help this national treasure become a reality - an iconic attraction for local and international tourists alike, and a fitting tribute to Dame Lynley's work.
