Good Luck Boonmee
Good Luck Boonmee | Film
Overview
Good Luck Boonmee is an exhilarating Panasian crime drama being brought to life by three passionate film students. We follow Boonmee, a young Thai man as he causes havoc in the lives of everyone around him. Granted one final day to pay back his debt, will he be able to turn things around?
Kia Ora! Good Luck Boonmee is a final year AUT production by three third year students. We aim to deliver a richly diverse cultural production, highlighting the unique aspects of various Asian communities in New Zealand alongside an engaging and gripping story. We are so thrilled to be bringing this story to the screen as well as to see our visions come to life. To do that, our team is currently seeking funding to begin the filming process.
Where does the money go?
Funding is a crucial part of this project, as it will ensure the film reaches its fullest potential. With your generosity, we will be able to make a production that is of the highest quality.
Cast and Crew
The cast of Goodluck Boonmee are more than just actors, providing a wider look into the Asian community and contributing creative and technical insight. Because of this, we would like to go above and beyond to support them. With your help, we will be able to provide them with meals and refreshments, especially on long days, as well as make sure they feel as though their time is valued.
Locations
The film has multiple shooting locations. Your funding will help us secure the coolest and most unique spaces.
Props & Costumes
Our characters will be very dynamic and visually striking. Your support allows us to bring these characters to life and showcase them as accurately as possible.
The Crew
Oska Meyer
Hi, I’m Oska, the director behind Goodluck Boonmee. It’s been an absolute blast working alongside my friends, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been planning!
Being the next stepping stone in my musical and filmmaking journey, this project has been my bread and butter for the past few months. This is truly a story of combined cultures and experiences and is something we are all extremely proud of. (:

Thank you all very much for your support and any donations:).
JJ Farry
My name is JJ and I’m an aspiring filmmaker and cinematographer. I’ve been making and shooting short films since 2021 and am more passionate about it than ever before.
With every film I make, I try to push myself in all regards, and Good Luck Boonmee is the biggest push I’ve given thus far. Shooting this film will push the limits of my creative and technical abilities but I am so excited nonetheless.
Any contributions and support will be greatly appreciated.
