ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Flowers before funerals is a conceptual project I've been writing for the last 12 months, its a album full of guest features from my most favorite artists in Aotearoa music. My plan is to travel to the destination where each of the artists live and document the production of the song.

The kaupapa is about giving people their flowers before their funeral, as dark as it sounds its really about making the most of their amazing talent before its too late, to give flowers is to let them know how great they are while they are still here, instead of waiting till they're gone.

I have invested close to $3500 into this project already, whilst I have been fortunate enough to get some amazing opportunities on the live circuit and put aside that money to help fund the initial overheads, we still need as much help as we can get!

ABOUT BIG SIMA:

The last two years have been spent on the road with my band Boomtown, we have just released our debut EP and this August we head out on our 4th consecutive NZ tour. This album will be my 4th studio project since 2019.

The features i have planned for this album, are artists I've looked up to for my entire career, so this is truly a dream project to work on and to be able to give you a behind the scenes look at the creation of it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
