Exquisite Corpse #2

When I was in Europe last year checking out art I discovered the collaborative Exquisite Corpse drawing game. I later used the games concept to create an art show for the 2020 Dunedin Fringe Festival. I worked collaboratively with 14 other artists and together we produced 10 Exquisite Corpse drawings which were installed in Olga Gallery. Despite falling victim to the Covid 19 closures the Exquisite Corpse project was a raging success. The artists involved all agreed that it was a lovely way to realise ideas, take risks and have fun. Which is why in partnership with Dunedin’s Olga Gallery I am proposing to undertake an Exquisite Corpse #2.

Exquisite corpse #2 will be bigger and better in 2021. The finished drawings will be exhibited at Olga Gallery in March, hopefully as part of the Dunedin Fringe Festival. I want to get started asap to give more artists more time to collaborate. The money raised will cover the cost of paper and pre-paid courier bags. I will be posting the paper out to artists all over NZ.
