Escape the Hunt

Escape the Hunt is an action-comedy short film about three strangers who are forced together during an attack on their local community centre, they must learn to recognise each other’s strengths so they can escape.

Our Film 

Ariki, Brandon, and Jason find themselves the only ones not captured. Actively being hunted, they struggle to find common ground and draw the attention of the convicts, their chances of escape looking grim. The three of them must find a way to work together and escape so they can rescue the whole community.

Our story aims to represent and empower the communities of Aotearoa and to show the strength of teamwork. When our three strangers are forced together during the attack on the community centre, they must learn to recognise each other’s strengths so they can escape.

In order to complete our project to the highest standard, we need your help. Your generous donations will go towards paying our talented actors, location costs, production design, and catering to feed our hard working cast and crew.

By contributing to our project, you will be supporting young emerging artists and giving them the opportunity to create and begin making films in the New Zealand film industry.
