The Project

SHORT SYNOPSIS

A loud knocking at the front door wakes Jack up in a room he doesn’t recognise with vague memories of a party the night before. Before he can answer the door, a smartly dress man enters claiming to be an old friend. He berates Jack for being lazy and wasting his life before Jack admits that he’s having trouble remembering anything. The visitor hears him out before offering Jack a solution to his problem: A drink that erases his bad memories. It is revealed that Jack has been in this room for a long time making this same deal every day, unable to escape the loop.

OUR TEAM

Our three core members consist of

Danvis Tornquist

"Hello, I am the producer of ERASER. It is my privilege to be involved with such a powerful film, from its storytelling to its amazing use of equipment. As an avid lover of horror and someone who can relate to our main characters' struggle, I am passionate about bringing this film to life. This film is a gateway for me to express my skills in the TV and film industry to show the world what I am capable of."

Calum Dewsnap

"I'm Calum, the writer and director of Eraser. Horror has always been a genre that has interested me, ever since being terrified by Jaws as an 8-year-old. I find that there's something strangely addicting about being scared, it's an adrenaline rush that made me seek out film after film that I was far too young to see. Filmmaking, to me, is about evoking emotion and fear is the emotion that sticks in your brain the most. Seeing a comedy or drama won't leave you lying awake at night for days. Eraser is such an important film for me at this point, both in my life and my career. Not only is it a way for me to show off everything that I've learnt for the past three years, but it is also an incredibly personal project to me. Writing the screenplay has been an exhausting process, both physically and emotionally, as I've put a lot of my personal struggle with mental health into the film. Seeing it go from the paper onto the screen will be an incredibly rewarding process for me. We've got a lot of very talented people working on this film and I can't wait to get on set and shoot it!"

Kyle Macarthur

"Hey, I’m Kyle MacArthur and I am the Cinematographer/DOP on Eraser. Film has been my passion since I was young, making little skits with my brothers and friends on an iPad or just whatever was available to us at the time. I want to keep improving and skilling up in every technical way I can as I love the process and everything that goes into making a project like Eraser come to life. I’m treating Eraser as a showcase of how far I’ve come and a push to see where I’m capable of heading. I’m really excited to be working on Calum’s film and I hope you all enjoy what we come up with!"

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to test our skills with this film. Coming to the end of our three-year degree we want to culminate our talents to create something we are proud of that can have an impact on our audience. Pushing the limits of our knowledge we will use a variety of new equipment and techniques both during production and postproduction to enhance the final product.

OUR DRIVE

Creating a film about the effects of addiction and mental health is important to us. We want to make sure the film is made to show the horrible effects it can have on people to help raise awareness. Making the film with the right equipment and people is thus vital, with your help with funding we can help make this project a reality.
