Double Take at 360

The Project
Recently I received an invitation from University of Greenwich, London, to rework a duet I performed for Footnote Dance Company over 30 years ago.
The choreographer and co- dancer is now head of the Creative Technology department at the University and his award winning faculty are prepared to film a 360 version of the work- Double Take at 360 - A ' Then and Now' version.
We will be rehearsing for a couple of weeks followed by filming and then live performances at the University and Laban London on the 25th April (my 55th Birthday as it turns out), then hopefully Fringe Wellington and Tempo 2018- with the intention of entering Mature Dance Festivals Nationally.
It's a truly ambitious work as it tackles the notion of dance as a predominantly 'youthful' mode of expression, and using 360 film technology, it will demonstrate the longevity of dance and its dancers by integrating technology with live performance.
I've had to dig deep to share this, as in my mind I wondered why anyone would even care....
But after putting aside the obvious worries such as : many broken bits, curves (that seem determined to stay), and the usual performer self doubt, I realised this opportunity will never present itself again. Ever.
How can I not say Yes!
This means I have less than 6 weeks to make it happen (I'm due there on April 6th).
Every possible Thank You in advance,
Sandra
