Update for the generous donors to the Don McGlashan documentary
This is an update on the Don McGlashan documentary for all the generous people who contributed to the crowdfunding appeals.
Since that time we have filmed more interviews with people like Neil Finn and have begun editing. This is the most exciting (and obviously most critical) time for me as the story of Don’s very eventful life and career starts to emerge. I had a fruitful search at Nga Taonga, the NZ Film Archive in Wellington, and have also been collecting interesting photographs from various music industry sources. As all this gradually feeds into the story it becomes richer and richer. If any of you have any interesting, good quality photographs or other relevant material that you are happy to share, please let me know. One kind donor put us on the track of a precious cache of early Muttonbirds never before seen material which is very exciting.
I’ll send another update as we continue with the edit which is necessarily a long process. Thank you all again.
We're still open for 30 hours!
Wow! It's been an exciting time. Wonderful to feel the love from Don's fans. Huge thanks to all the people who have supported the documentary so far. Our stretch goal in addition to the campaign goal we already reached means we can do more filming and record more of Don's intriguing stories here and away. We'll keep you posted about our progress.
Two days to go! You can still support us.
Two days to go! I’m loving catching up with old friends and people in the film industry. I’m also loving the community feel of the campaign . It’s exciting to know that we now have a team of more than 170 people with us!
