Overview
"Dive" is a compelling coming-of-age drama that revolves around Paula, a dedicated young competitive swimmer who is under the guidance of her father, Troy. Despite her relentless efforts, Paula struggles to meet her father's exceptionally high standards. Simultaneously, Troy grapples with financial hardships and the imminent threat of losing their home. As the national swimming competition draws near, tensions escalate between father and daughter, and Paula finds herself questioning her passion for the sport. The film delves into the intricacies of their complex relationship and the overwhelming pressures of pursuing success.
This story holds immense personal significance for me, as it touches on themes of grief, pain, and anger that I had to confront when my father passed away at a young age. It explores the profound impact such a loss can have on a family's dynamics and how one copes with it.
What sets this film apart is our commitment to nurturing talent within our community. We've launched an internship program for seven exceptionally talented local youths who are eager to expand their knowledge and turn their filmmaking dreams into reality.
Your donation plays a pivotal role in ensuring we can support these young talents, pay our local crew members, cover expenses such as fuel and catering, and bring this project to fruition.
We really appreciate your support in making "Dive" a reality. Your contribution means the world to me and the entire team behind this heartfelt film. Together, we can create a meaningful and powerful cinematic experience that resonates with audiences on a profound level.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!
