Dance Competition - Grounded Prop Masters - Phoebe Heyhoe

Help me win a dance competition to jump start my choreography career.

I love contemporary dance, but hardly ever get the opportunity to pursue that love. This crowd funding campaign could be an excellent start for me to be recognised for my choreography! This competition show cases Hiphop and Contemporary dance, with an overall aim to convey a theme or message within our work through the use of a prop.

We have to get together a team of at least 8 dancers: I've gone for 9.
We must use the prop assigned to us: I got Umbrella
We have to interact with that prop at least 75% of the time
and the piece has to convey a moving message:
I've gone with the idea that an umbrella represents a barrier or protection, and although we believe it is wise to protect ourselves and our hearts from other people by building these barriers, most of the time we actually restrict ourselves from truly connecting with other people.

As always art costs money, and I have to buy 36 quality umbrellas to make this show happen. Not to mention the fact that I have to have at least 8 dancers, and currenlty I can't pay any of them for their time! You wouldn't work for free normally so why when it comes to art, does that normal expectation to be paid for your time dissapear? Please help enable me to pay my beautiful dancers for their incredible hard work and talent!!
