About Cupid

Nestled in the entranceway of Point Chev's historic Ambassador Theatre, Cupid is a bar & music venue that holds a unique place in the hearts of many. Charming in its dreamy & cinematic qualities, yet down-to-earth in its ethos, Cupid is finding its purpose through a reputation for exciting live music events. With your help, we will continue to diversify & expand our profile as a bold & alluring music venue. 

The Cupid Vision 

The music may not always be chill (we love punk rock), but Cupid is a safe place for our community of music lovers. Just a quick taxi ride from town and yet completely removed from the chaos of Ponsonby & the city; our focus is on respect, inclusion and meaningful shared experiences.

Why you’re needed

We want to realise this vision to its fullest extent, holding music events every weekend, and continuing to expand and diversify our community. We are currently held back from our full potential by our lack of a PA system, music equipment, lighting, and media capabilities. We're looking for people who can help us raise $10,000 to create the perfect environment for our bodacious burgeoning music scene.
