COMBOYS COLLECTIVE

Comboys Collective is a collective of three Polynesian designers from Central, West and South Auckland, who are all intertwined by our passion for creativity. Whether it's graphic design, illustration, photography and videographry, we're always looking to improve our creative craft, get better at what we do and learn new skills.

ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE

Together, we named our collective ‘Comboys’. The origin of the name was created by our uni tutors who would call us Comboys because we were inseparable at uni.

Studying and graduating together, our friendship grew and we became a family that wanted to inspire the next generation of creatives. We created an Instagram account (@_comboys), where we post and share our work. We started off creating pieces of celebrities that inspire us from around the world.

Now, we're starting to create work that show our Polynesian side. Our cultural identity is important and we're ready tto start creating more work for our people in our own, unique, creative styles.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We want to launch our first collection as a collective, where we can display and sell our artwork that showcases our identity as Polynesians, alongside releasing our first official merchandise. Our merchandise has been long asked for, but until now, we have been short on funds to make it happen. This this why we're asking for your help!

Our creativity has made us hungry to chase our goals one step at a time. We grew up without the resources to turn our ideas into a reality, but we have always made most of the opportunities. Being blessed with an opportunity like Boosted X Moana has given us the motivation to inspire others and create a pathway for coming generation of creatives.

We want to show different ways of embracing cultural heritage, while staying true to who you are. For us, getting started and turning this project into reality, we are kindly asking for you donations.
