City Choir Dunedin Choral Academy for Tenors and Basses

Please help our men sing like opera stars! The Choral Academy will provide a series of 8 x 1-hour sessions during the months of October to November 2020. The aim is to improve vocal skills and overall musicianship, which would ultimately raise the quality of the sound produced by the tenors and basses. And you know what this means: you will enjoy City Choir Dunedin’s performances even more! We have a unique opportunity to provide professional voice coaching to our tenors and basses, right now! With your help we will be able to hire Benjamin Madden as tutor for the men, and pay for the venue hire. You may already know Ben Madden! He’s a Dunedin-based tenor, choral and music educator who is making a name for himself in New Zealand. He is a past music director of the Southern Youth Choir and has extensive experience singing in the NZ Secondary Students' Choir, NZ Youth Choir, NZ Chamber Choir, NZ Opera Chorus and St Paul's Cathedral Choir. We believe Ben is excellently qualified to teach our male singers.
