Chill'n'Art
Chill'n'Art | Visual Art
Overview
Chill'n'Art is the brain child of Chrissie Calvert and Toni Mckeon, both are finishing off their BFA's this year at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design.
Friends from art school, and also workmates at Art in Bloom, we had the idea that we could start our own art classes. The initial idea was an art class which was social and relaxed, with snacks as an added bonus.
We believe that there aren't enough casual, social spaces for people to meet and relax. As everything is moving online, we are all meeting in person less, and it isn't healthy!
Our idea will help people learn new skills, to grow confidence, and build new relationships. Everyone would be welcomed, and it would be a space for people to feel at home and accepted.
We need your help to get Chill'n'Art started!
We just need a little hand to get started to cover initial materials costs and the renting of a space. We would appreciate anything you can afford to spare to help us on our way to making Chill'n'Art a reality.
These are the materials we need to start, and what we'd be spending your donations on:
- Paint brushes
- Sketching pencils
- Watercolour Paint
- Charcoal
- Acrylic Paint
- Artist quality paper
- 16x20inch canvases
- Table top easels
- Aprons
We are hoping to get enough supplies to support classes of 10-20 people.
Thanks for taking the time to read our campaign, we appreciate your support!
