Children's Foraging Storybook Launch

For the past year I have been working on illustrations and writing for a young children's storybook about foraging in Aotearoa/NZ throughout the seasons.

Educational for the little ones and fun to read aloud as it's all in rhyme with vibrant paintings and drawings to keep them engaged and interested.

I'm ready to publish and am looking for funding to help with this stage of the project.

The funding is to support the launch of a professionally published and designed book that will be available for everyone within the next month. It's ready to go and just needs this final push to get it there!

Foraging helps build a connection with nature and the earth that is nurturing and healing. Some of my best memories of childhood are memories of foraging and it's something I always loved doing with my own children too. For the past 10 years I have been doing foraging tours, being admin for a busy foraging page and sharing my knowledge both online and off. I am a founding member of the Ōtautahi Urban Foraging fb page and have also been involved in other food forest and community groups throughout this time.

My hope is that this book will be an encouraging and fun learning tool for kids and grownups alike.
