Bye-Bi Island

The Project
Bye-Bi Island is a short film created by Unitec's graduating class of actors for 2018. The film is created to illuminate the dangers that reality television can expose it's contestants to and the power that social media can have in the twenty-first century.
The film's aim is to educate its audience and reveal that everything is not as it seems. Bye-Bi Island is a mockumentary-style short film. As a class we have the responsibility of guiding and developing this project from start to finish, including writing, devising, producing and acting.
We need your help to create the best project possible for our Graduate Film! All donations are hugely appreciated by the cast and crew. Your donations will help us cover the costs of:
- Location
- Costumes
- Transport
- First Assitant Director
- Top of the line cameras
This year, the graduating class have been very privileged to work with industry professional Jess Sayer (Awkward Love, Shortland Street), who is leading the story lining and script writing team. Jess is a very talented young artist whose work continues to blow audiences away and we are so excited to be working on this project with her.
