Overview
✩。:* What if your vibrator could talk? *:。✩
Would it whisper sweet nothings or speak smack to your boyfriend?
Competing with a sex toy was not what Chris had in mind when he started dating Mia
OVERVIEW
"Buzzkill" a 15 minute satirical comedy which follows Chris and his relationship with Mia’s vibrator. After Mia’s vibrator comes to life, Chris is filled with fears of replacement and insecurity as he interacts with his imagined ‘sex god’.
Buzzkill hopes to normalise sex toys and get people talking! The film will explore aspects of toxic masculinity and the pressures sex toys it can have on relationships.
WHY THIS FILM?
~ Have you ever want to see a giant sex toy talking on screen before ??? ~
With Communication and Sex positivity at its core Buzzkill is a comedy with a strong female voice which subverts the male gaze. In an aim to challenge normative assumptions around sexual pleasure. Buzzkill is the brainchild of emerging writer director Rachel Barker and produced by Jenna Eriksen as their major project of the Master’s in Creative Practice of Film at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University.
