BREAKING into CHINA

My name is Laurence Larson, ??????????

I'm a 21-year-old Aucklander with a Bachelor of Music from Auckland University and nearly three years' study in Mandarin Chinese. But it's how the music and Mandarin have come together that's brought me to Boosted - asking for your support. I hope that you can join me on this ambitious - but achievable - journey to the East!

Over the last two years, I have built up more than 15 million views across my videos on Youku and other big social media sites throughout China, Taiwan and other Asian countries. I've even released a couple of original songs in Mandarin, which are getting great reviews from my Chinese followers.

But now is the time for my next big step: my debut "All Originals" album, which will comprise 10 tracks all with Chinese and English versions. With the album, I can make real headway with the Chinese music industry - as well as open doors for other Kiwi musicians and performers. 

The album is already well underway, but I need your help with its final production - to get the best possible sound I can and help pay my awesome session players. 

I've already made friends across cultures and communities with my music, and I believe my story can build stronger bonds between young people in New Zealand and China - as well as inspire others to try something new� even a bit daunting!
