The Project

Fundraising would enable us to do Wellington Free justice in our production process, providing essential costs for our film crew and participants in the film. All excess profits will be donated directly to the Wellington Free - any and all contributions would be greatly appreciated by our team and the community.

Borne Free is a short documentary focusing on the Wellington Free Ambulance service. Wellington Free Ambulance is not only New Zealand's only free ambulance service but one of the only free ambulance services globally. From its establishment in 1927 by Sir Charles Norwood, Wellington Free has earnt itself reverence for its community service and free healthcare: 'keeping people alive/keeping people living'. Borne Free captures the heart of the community and values that drive Wellington Free Ambulance and give life to the city.
