BOON Hamilton Street Art Festival 2017

Overview
Boon Hamilton Street Art Festival is an exciting bi-annual initiative to enhance Hamilton through the creation of stunning murals in Hamilton's CBD and Hamilton East Village. There are many pieces of awesome Urban Street Art around the world that add to the character of the city and it's surroundings. We want to bring this vibrancy to Hamilton, and add to the murals given to the city by BOON 2015!
Hamilton's CBD is a place of development, where the creative sector, renovation, new building projects and business ventures are growing weekly. With the addition of 11 new large scale murals, more and more people will have the opportunity to experience street art on a daily basis.
Feedback from Boon 2015 was overwhelmingly positive, with a lot of excitement in the CBD and on social media. The murals are Hamilton landmarks regularly featuring as backdrops on social and commercial media.
To make sure we can deliver the event, we are seeking to raise the final funds needed to cover materials - hire of scissor lifts, ladders, cherry pickers and other equipment, and accommodation and travel costs for artists.
All the artists and organisers of this event are giving their time for free.
The murals will add to the walls painted in 2015 to be an example of the positive force street art can be in the community; urban beautification, tourism, social inclusion.
The murals will be a tourist attraction for the local economy, bringing visitors and foot traffic into the Hamilton CBD and Hamilton East Village. The murals will make a valuable contribution to the health and vitality of the local arts community!
Your support of this crowdfunding campaign will enable us to bring you this fantastic event, and hopefully allow it to continue into the future!
Please help us to make BOON happen!
