Because I'm a Teine

The Project
This film will follow a Polynesian family and the difference in the treatment of our sons and daughters by focusing on the relationship between a Mother and a Daughter. Helai is a 20 year old student who longs to have the same freedom that her younger brother has, however the rules that her mother has in place for her allows no room for that. When receiving an invitation she can't decline, Helai is faced with a pivotal decision that could change the relationship with her mother forever. Will she break the rules? Or will she be the obedient daughter she has always been...
Your funds will go towards:
- Hiring Location - we are hiring an Airbnb to film our project in and will be using it over the span of 3 days
- Set Design - to make our set look exactly like a homey Polynesian house.
- Transport - as we all know gas is pretty pricey nowadays, we’ll need to get everyone to and from our locations.
- Food - to take care of our talented cast and crew members
We need your help to bring our project to life, any amount of donation big or small will be greatly appreciated. If you donate, you will also be listed in our credits as 'Sponsors'
