Overview

bad for education is an independent rock and punk music project by William Walker.

About William.

William is a classically trained vocalist, contempory multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who has performed at shows with Dave Dobbyn, The Exponents and Hello Sailor. You can read all about it in The Herald over here.

About our next EP: 'Good for Health 2'.

'Good for Health 2', the upcoming EP from bad for education (BFE) is the sequel to our debut EP, 'Good for Health' released in 2017. Since our debut, we've released two albums, called 'WASTED LP' (2018) and 'Eyes on the Sky' (2020).

With your support, we want to produce and record 'Good for Health 2', a project of new and original material to go alongside a couple of live recordings of our bad for education classics.

We need your support to make it happen.

With 'Good for Health 2', we want to encapsulate the fun, lively, and welcoming atmosphere we experience at live shows. To achieve this, we will need to cover extra recording and post-production costs, and we would love your help.

The funding raised on this campaign will be used to:

  • book studio time
  • track live drums
  • film music videos
  • film promotional material
  • go towards a social media advertising budget.

We also want to print and distribute posters, and do live performances.

BFE usually work with our talented friends, which has allowed us to keep production costs low, because we support each other at no charge.

Any extra funds will go towards a koha for my project collaborators.

Our plan for the future.

After we finish recording and promoting 'Good for Health 2', the plan is to keep writing, recording and performing. We keep overheads low, which should enable us to keep writing and recording music for years to come.

Eventually, the brick wall will come down and we will have a back catalogue to support us!

Thank you for your support!

And thank you for taking the time to read our pitch. I hope enjoy our music! Any contribution makes a difference and is appreciated, so please consider donating to our Boosted campaign.

Yours sincerely,

William Walker
