ARIA's first EP

Kia ora, I'm Aria Jones aka ARIA. I am an artist born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

About ARIA

I have been singing and performing as an artist for about 15 years. In the last couple of years I have been working on my own solo project. So far I have released two singles out into the world, Awake With You and Unravel, and held my own debut live show. 

But, there's still more that I want to do...

I’m at the point where I have a bunch of new songs and I want to put them all together to release my first EP (extended play / mini album). The songs that I want to bring you span a really diverse range of styles and themes - they’re a bit of a patchwork quilt - which is fitting for me.

I’m not really someone that neatly fits in a box. I sing opera, I sing in metal bands, I sing in rap bands, I sing in 60's soul bands. Why limit yourself?!

As an artist the ultimate goal for me is to be able to tell my story and to record that story in a point in time in history. A huge motivation for releasing an EP is also the process of making the EP. The process itself is part of the prize. Respect the process!

The team behind this EP

For the recordings, I am super excited to work together with my homie from back in the day, Tom Broome. He has just finished up building his beautiful new studio. And, on top of that I get to hire all my friends (many of whom have had their work dissolve overnight due to covid), to help me make it.

They are the artists, musicians and industry peeps that have supported me on my journey thus far so it will mean a lot for them to be a part of this next phase.

And this is where you can come in…

It feels awkward and hard to ask for help like this, especially when there are a lot of people going through tough times out there, but this is really important to me. Music and art are also really important to our spiritual survival in these times. I understand not everyone will be able to give at this time.

If you are in a position to help, I'm asking for donations of any size to help get this EP done and released.

Costs raised will cover the studio, musicians, mixing & mastering of the final tracks and the publicity for the EP release.
