And They Were Wrong

And They Were Wrong is a new play written and directed by Ace Dalziel, discussing the dangers of meeting strangers online.

As a generation, we were raised unsupervised online which led to the romanticization of mental illnesses and being exposed to strangers who prayed on our vulnerability, particularly the vulnerability of young queers. And They Were Wrong brings light to this issue and portrays just how dangerous and damaging it was and continues to be.

Bold, truthful and heartful And They Were Wrong shows audiences just how traumatizing early internet access was, and has the potential to open up the eyes of those having their own kids to the dangers of letting them go online unsupervised.

And They Were Wrong follows a young girl, Laura, who is fighting for her rights as a trans woman at her small town school. Closely by her side (Well, sort of) is Rocket, the feisty internet friend that Laura met on Tumblr. Laura and Rocket talk everyday, with that kind of communication you’d think that you would know a person. But is everything as it seems? Lies, love, betrayal and trust all come to a head in And They Were Wrong.
