It's All About You

The Project
We Kiwi folk fall in love, right? And we get our hearts broken. And we have loving whānau, who drive us crazy but who are there for us when things get tough. And we love to laugh.
Here’s a Kiwi feature film that reflects and celebrates all those things... And it needs your help.
ABOUT THIS FILM
It's All About You is a romantic comedy/drama feature film, set in contemporary New Zealand.
In a single day her life goes to hell, romantically and career-wise, so Maddie flees home to her folks’ place at the beach. Over the next few days she nearly wrecks her parents’ marriage, rediscovers her inspiration as a writer, rejects and regains her best friend, and reconnects with the guy who broke her heart in high school. Who might just be the love of her life.
WHAT SORT OF FILM IS THIS?
This is a heartwarming, crowd pleaser of a movie about a relate-able Kiwi family going through emotional turmoil and coming out the other side. The story delves into the perils of attraction and the importance of trust, but in the context of a loving whanau.
It’s All About You has serious moments, and plenty of emotion, but tons of warmth and humour. And it even has a happy ending.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
So far, we’ve raised just under $100,000. Mike and his wife Sharon are providing most of this, with the help of several wonderful investors.
This budget figure means that we can make the film happen, but we would love your help to pay our talented cast and crew a bit more, so they are paid a fairer rate for their hard work in this film.
Your generous contribution will also mean that we can feed the crew well, pay for better locations and increase the art department budget, ultimately making this project the best it can be.
Alongside your support, we’re also very grateful to South Pacific Pictures, and two anonymous donors, for coming on board as match donors.
