Overview

Kia orana kotou katoatoa!  'Aka'?u is the story of Croc Coulter, an Englishman living in Rarotonga. Croc has devoted many years to learning tatau, the ancient Polynesian art of tattooing.

Once an every day part of Polynesian culture, tatau was banished from the Cook Islands by the early European missionaries. Tatau is now part of a cultural renaissance in the Cook Islands.

Croc has been instrumental in the revival of tatau - even as he battles a life threatening illness. He needs an apprentice before it is too late. Can Croc  find an apprentice to continue this ancient art?

'Aka'?u is an important story to tell - but we need your help. We need to raise $2000. Loading Docs will match us dollar for dollar if we reach our funding goal.  If you can support 'Aka'?u and donate - we can share this vital story! Meitaki ma'ata e kia manuia!
