Kia Ora,
We are KiwiAmericano Productions and we are creating a short film about friendship, love and Dungeons and Dragons.
When a group of D&D players are forced together for a night, real-life tensions rise to the surface under the guise of roleplay. Though they began their trips as friends, they may return home as something more...or less.
Written and produced by a couple of D&D veterans, Adventure's End will be a love letter to the TTRPG community, and a look at how the characters we hold close to our hearts can help us work through and express complex emotions and personal conflicts. Action, romance, and comedy come to play to present tabletop games, and their heroes (the players), in a heartful and relatable way.
Amy and I (Lauren) have over a decade of experience working in the Film industry and we want to bring our love of story telling, DnD, friendship and creativity to a fantastic short film and supporting our amazing Kiwi talent.
Our film brings together amazing Kiwi cast and crew to this production, filming around Tāmaki Makaurau in January 2024.
We have a dedicated stunt team, trained at various stunt schools in New Zealand and we want to show off their skills within a fun, fantasy story plot which all DnD players will recognise.
Our Costume and Props team are resourceful, creative and insanely good at bringing the props we need to immerse our audience in the world we are creating.
We are self funded and are using the resources that we have on hand but are needing your help to pay our talent, get equipment and make sure we can get this film out to everyone who has a love for TTRPGs.
