4.20 - The Revolution

We are upper-class bogans. We drink top-shelf bourbon, we smoke Benson and Hedges and we eat like queens� Yeah Right. 

89c orange soda, Homebrand Spaghetti, Baseline Pall Malls and that $6.99 Sauvignon. 

And so you meet Kaly and Ollie. 

We burp, throw up in public and occasionally kill a gym instructor or three.

This is the beginning of our journey.

This upcoming series uses black, absurdest comedy to raise issues we face as young New Zealanders. Overdrafts, culture restrictions, violence and sex� lot's of sex. 

It will be the unapologetic culmination of Mighty Boosh's fantasy, Ab Fab's wit and the truth of Girls. As co-writers and lead actresses we hold that fresh and vibrant vision. This risky off the wall comedy unveils all those embarrassing stories we share in the 'never have I ever' circles. 

We are creating this show at the beginning of our professional acting careers. We want 4:20 to provide a platform for artists to build a strong body of work early on, especially for those who yearn for something non-commercial.

Currently, Kaly and Ollie (who are also Kaly and Ollie is real life #paradox) hold roles in writing, directing and acting. Additionally, we have a our production manager Nicole Arrow (Let Your Hair Down, WOW festival), Ivo Delyiski our director of photography (second year designer, Toi Whakaari student), Blair Godby in marketing (Burn Bright Records) as well as our mentor Vaughan Slinn (Producer and writer of Nasty Little Things). Currently our team is made up  of emerging artists, however, with an increase in funding we would be able to bring professionals into all stages of production to secure a higher quality product.

Great film and television is said to be a reflection of our society. That was before we had the internet. Now we really have the freedom to create and distribute our own true accounts as well as offering audiences a hypnotic escape. 

In the coming month we have organised to pitch to SPADA (Screen Production and Development Association). This opportunity is for us to gain knowledge and direction in futher funding towards our next goal of shooting the first season.

The funding Boosted can provide will allow us to create a crisp pilot plus a series of short clips to show the big-wigs the vision and potential for this project. Your money will go towards us making the highest quality episode, we want to show the Suits how professional two bogan chicks can be!

We are working as actors and producers, we refuse to wait for our dream role to come along... We will make the dream!

While $2000 is what we require to make the episode, additional funding will go towards improving other aspects of both the production of the pilot and developing our creative process.

If we make $3000 we can also get:
