Tribute to Stevie McCabe
The Kaupapa for this project is to pay tribute to the late Stevie McCabe, a fellow musician born in Ōtautahi, band member of AXEMEN and prolific song writer and musician who sadly passed away September 2023. Stevie, who was a unique and authentic voice in the Ōtautahi musical family, had written to our band Outsiders, wanting us to cover his song, ‘Festival of Saints.’ We were excited and added it to our set-list. Later we recorded the song at Arnie van Bussel’s Nightshift Studios, but sadly it was too late for Stevie to hear our recording. We knew he had recorded his version of the song and had archived I somewhere! It took a bit of detective work by friends to find it. Fellow AXEMEN musician, Stuart Page teamed up with Leather Jacket records boss, Matthias McGregor to locate a copy buried in the AXEMEN Y2K blog. Once we had Stevie’s track, we decided to go ahead and fund the project to press 150 7-inch 45rmp -split-singles on vinyl with both Outsiders and Stevie’s versions of ‘Festival of Saints.’ We are currently looking for funding to print the 7-inch record jacket, which contains an original artwork by Outsiders guitarist Joanne Billesdon.

Setting your target
Before you start planning your crowdfunding campaign you need to know a few important things, like...
· What’s my funding target?
· How many people do I need to give?
· How many people do I need to ask to give?
· How often should I ask them?
· How long should my campaign be?
· When should I run my campaign?
Luckily, we can help you answer these questions.
