CubaDupa 2025 - Valhalla Stage
Cuba Dupa is one of New Zealand's largest street festivals, attracting over 100,000 attendees annually since its inception in 2015. The festival features the Valhalla stage, a key venue for Wellington's alternative music scene, showcasing diverse artists and genres. For many performers, this stage presents a vital opportunity to connect with larger audiences during festival season, with over 5,000 attendees drawn to Valhalla last year. The event hosts two stages running from 12 pm to 11 pm, featuring 27 acts across live bands, hip-hop artists, and DJ performances, emphasizing underground dance music. Committed to promoting local talent, particularly queer and Māori artists, Cuba Dupa fosters community engagement and supports independent artists. As a free annual event, it aims to amplify alternative voices, enriching Wellington's vibrant musical landscape while receiving enthusiastic feedback from both artists and festival-goers.

Boosted How To Guides
Mapping your crowd
Crowdfunding is not about you. It’s about the community around what you do. Your crowd.
And there’s a difference between your audience and your crowd. Your crowd are the people personally, financially, and emotionally invested in you successfully completing your art project. They’re with you for the journey. They’re with you for your career.31 Aug 2024 -
