Mellow Studios's Live Project
Music Intervention Program
At Mellow Studios, we believe that music has the power to heal, build confidence, create healthy outlet for expression and build great communication skills. Over the past two years, we have successfully run music intervention sessions for over 20 whānau ranging from the age of 5 years old to mid-thirties, partnering with organisations such as Te Whatu Ora, Oranga Tamariki, Stepping Stones, Key Assets, Florence Nightingale Trust and Pese Wairua to support whānau and tamariki by providing a safe space to improve hau ora and build confidence through waiata and music. For this BOOSTED x MOANA campaign, we are raising funds to offer ten individuals a term of weekly one-on-one music intervention lessons with musicians and mentors from all over the Motu fees free, where they can work on a musical project such as vocal lessons, songwriting, recording or learning an instrument with the intention of showing our whānau they have gifts to offer.
