Pele - Goddess of Fire
Hālau Ka Waikahe Lani Mālie will present Hawaiian dance theatre production, Pele - Goddess of Fire, programmed in Pacific Dance New Zealand Festival on 19 - 20 June 2025 at the Mangere Arts Centre. Pele is a revered deity in Hawaiian mythology who's story is danced over the ages by countless hula practitioners across the globe. This story tells the story of Pele's romance with the Prince Lohiau'ipo and the dangerous journey her youngest sister Hi'iakaikapoliopele must undertake to retrieve the Prince at Pele's request.

The rapper spent the first few months of his life in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and moved to Aoteoaroa New Zealand with his father for life-saving medical treatment when he was just eight months old. Vallé is now based in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
