Kino Short Film

Kino is a short film script I wrote which highlights the problem with meth in the Māori and Pacific Island communities. The story is a fictional story which follows the life of a young male Māori drug dealer known on the streets as Ruthless. Set in the broken down urban environment of west Hamilton, the story tells of the secret lives and dealings of people who live in that circus. Ruthless feared in his hood, one day has an encounter which changes his whole trajectory. A well known junkie turns up to score, but that score is more than what he bargained for, he realises that this junkie is his connection to his past and to his whakapapa.
