We are SØLACE, a youth band from Nelson, New Zealand, and we're on a mission to record our debut EP! Our band is made up of five passionate high school musicians, aged 14-18, who are dedicated to creating pop-rock music that resonates with our generation. Who We Are: Mia Grace (18): Singer, guitarist, and multiple-time finalist in the Play It Strange songwriting competition. Mia also won the Rockquest solo/duo in Nelson in 2023. Oscar Walsh (14): Guitarist, singer, and multiple-time finalist in the Play It Strange competition. Oscar placed 2nd in the Rockquest solo/duo in Nelson in 2023. Oscar Begg (18): Drummer Daniel MacBrayne (14): Keyboardist Boston Harvey (14): Bassist We've recently won the Nelson Rockquest finals and were honoured to be selected as one of the top ten bands in New Zealand. We’ve performed at various gigs and festivals and are thrilled to be opening for The Beths when they come to Nelson this September. Our original songs have already captured the hearts of our fans in Nelson, who sing them back to us at our shows. Now, we want to take our music beyond the stage and into the studio, but we need your help to make it happen. Our Goal: We’re aiming to raise $7,500 to cover the costs of recording, mixing, mastering and travel for our debut EP. This is a huge step for us, and with your support, we can make it a reality. Why It Matters: This EP will be our introduction to the wider world, and it’s an opportunity for you to be part of our journey from the ground up. Your contribution, big or small, will help us share our music with more people and continue doing what we love. Follow us on Instagram @omg.its.solace to stay updated on our progress and upcoming shows. Join us in making our debut EP a success—your support means everything to us!
