Hunter Wilson
Hunter ‘King Cass’ Wilson, an independent artist from Christchurch, NZ is one of few Hiphop artists that describe himself as one that stands with passion, purpose and potential.
From a musical family growing up in Christchurch and taking an interest in Hiphop culture at a very young age it was inevitable that the creative flow would come through in the later years and the King Cass Movement come to fruition which includes a strong discography and a dozen unreleased projects waiting to be heard.
After releasing his 2019 debut album ‘The Awakening (From Dark to Light)’ a collection of dynamic, punchy high energy, conscious rap tunes & over 30 music singles King Cass has still got his foot on the gas with new releases and talks of new singles and a mixtape dropping before 2024 is over. Earning a slight bump into the mainstream realm he had his track ‘Yea Yea’ featured on NZ music video channel Juice TV, and the "Old Days," a crowd-favorite track from our 2023 EP, which hit number 2 on the New Zealand Top 40 Hot Single charts.
No stranger to the grind and hustle King Cass has grown his loyal #cassfam fan base through social networking, positive engagement, curating music for the people, and speaking to them from the heart. Going against the grain is how some would say King Cass does things, and it's no surprise by the unique PR pitch used down by the ocean with good mate, and sand muralist Wayne Webb where some very epic promo visuals take place. Take a look at some of these - Juice TV, Yea Yea, KCM, Hope.
Known for creating catchy, high energy lyrical content to reflect his current feels, everyday life or just having fun, King Cass resonates on stages across festivals and venues. Having traveled around New Zealand/Australia for several years spreading his message through music including his 2021 NZ tour ‘Yes We Next’ with NZ artist Dilz, 2022 invite to travel to Sydney & Brisbane, Australia as tour support for rapstar Onyx, NZ Spirit Festival North & South Islands where he presented a 2.5hr show and many other opportunities to support the Hiphop scene across Christchurch and Aotearoa.
King Cass has a heavy focus on connecting with people through his self-discovery journey The Awakening (From Dark To Light). These mental health awareness multimedia shows are a one man show with a powerful message of hope that aim to bring unity, inspire change & raise awareness around topics at the forefront of the community.
With the purpose of unleashing the truth and daring anyone listening to keep speaking up about their feelings,
music is a way to help the people, then this is his mission through the King Cass Movement while continuing to build the #cassfam (creating a safe space) and exploring new global territories with his music and multimedia shows.

Asking through email
Social media is a handy marketing tool, but you don’t own your social media community. The visibility of your posts is at the mercy of social media algorithms. In other words, just because you publish a status update, doesn’t mean people see it. Furthermore, if the gods of digital decide to fold a platform, that’s your hard-earned followers gone in a blink.
