Kia ora e hoa,
I am a visual artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau, I spent three years working to complete my Master of Fine Arts degree earlier this year, but because of COVID19 my work has never been seen - three separate shows have been cancelled. I am trying BOOSTED for the first time as I have the most amazing opportunity to finally show my Master's Installation, "What's the Matter" at the Hastings City Art gallery. As the work is large I need to hire a truck to transport it there, so I'm asking you beautiful supporters to please help cover this expense xxx

Asking through email

In other words, just because you publish a status update, doesn’t mean people see it. Furthermore, if the gods of digital decide to fold a platform, that’s your hard-earned followers gone in a blink.

Mapping your crowd
Crowdfunding is not about you. It’s about the community around what you do. Your crowd.
And there’s a difference between your audience and your crowd. Your crowd are the people personally, financially, and emotionally invested in you successfully completing your art project. They’re with you for the journey. They’re with you for your career.31 Aug 2024
