Shapes In The Clouds
When I grow up, my dream is to be…… 'Shapes in the Clouds' is a dance theatre show that weaves together movement, song, poetry and media. This production explores the dreams and aspirations of a father and his 11 year old son, a curious superhero, who sees the world with endless wonder. ROBOTZ is an 11 year old super hero in training who befriends MITI on his adventures. As their journey unfolds, they discover unexpected connections. While the father grapples with unfulfilled ambitions, he also uncovers a deeper truth about his extraordinary young companion. This work has been selected for presentation at the annual Pacific Dance Festival in June 2025 and this boosted campaign will contribute towards rehearsal and production costs. Boosted StoriesBoosted Stories: Māpura Studios
Māpura Studios is a creative space and art therapy centre in central Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau. The project works with over 200 adults and children every week, offering art classes and art therapy programmes for people living with disability and diversity. The studio is also the only organisation that is contracted to deliver art therapy programmes to inmates at Auckland Prison – changing paths and making an impact through art and creativity.
