She/her
I am a live artist, freelance bookkeeper, and arts producer based in Ōtautahi, New Zealand. I am the acting chair of the Board for Movement Art Practice.
As a live artist and movement practitioner, my work is situated in a queer and feminist framework. My current practice focuses on the body, explicit body performance practices, the commodified body and sex work, unclean femininity, queer femme vulnerability and connectivity, and the gaze. As well as durational choreographies and performance installations, i create noise music, spoken word, and pole dance works as part of my practice.
I hold an MA Performance from Leeds Beckett University, Leeds, UK, receiving a Creative New Zealand grant to attend, and am working towards attending School of the Art Institute Chicago to study for an MFA Performance.
I am an experienced life model, having posed for studios, classes, and artist groups in Oxford, Edinburgh, London, and Glasgow (UK), Melbourne (Australia), Wellington, Christchurch, and Rotorua (NZ) for over 10 years. I currently run life drawing in my living room, IRL and URL.
I hire out my skills as an arts producer, most recently for the inaugural Ōtautahi Tiny Performance Festival at CoCA, and as a bookkeeper, currently for West Eyreton Motors, Dream It, and Peter Mallinson.
